There will be a test of the Alert Ready System in Ontario today.
At 12:55 pm you may hear a tone and get an alert on your mobile devices, radio, or TV.
It is just a test.
The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) requires wireless service providers and broadcasters to send at least one test alert per year, either in May during Emergency Preparedness Week or in November.
⚠️ We're running our routine test on May 10th ⚠️
Canadians in participating provinces and territories can expect an alert on their TV, phone, & radio on May 10th🗓️.
