A reminder for motorists that even though you don’t have to pay for your license plate sticker anymore, you still have to renew them.
In March the province ditched the fee to renew license plates, but continuing the renewal process is still required – or you could face serious fines.
Some drivers in Ontario have already had a $500 fine for not doing it.
The expiry is usually on the owner’s birthday, and renewal can be done online, by mail, or at a ServiceOntario location.
