Two people died in a house fire in Caledon over the long weekend.
OPP say the fire broke out on Canada Day, July 1st, just after 6:30 in the morning on Mountainview Road near Highway 9.
The home was fully engulfed by the time emergency crews got there.
Nearby residents were evacuated but two people were later found to have died in the fire.
Fire Chief David Forfar is reminding all residents to once again check all smoke alarms in their home and make sure they are working, and also make an escape plan in case of a fire, and ensure there are two ways out.
