You can soon pick up a rapid COVID-19 test at the LCBO
The provincial government announced yesterday that it will provide the tests to residents free of charge at pop-up sites and select LCBO locations starting today.
The government said the take-home rapid tests will be available at the busiest LCBO stores first, with more stores being added in the coming days.
They working with local partners, public health units and municipalities to determine specific pop-up sites based on local data and needs.
Sunday December 19th, the closest rapid antigen tests to our region, will be available at Newmarket’s Upper Canada Mall.
Rapid antigen tests are used as an additional screening tool only for those who are asymptomatic, and you’re asked to not visit these testing locations if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to a positive case.
