No one was injured in a house fire that broke out in Shelburne.
Shelburne and District Fire Chief Ralph Snyder says it broke out in the afternoon on Owen Sound Street, and was mostly contained to the garage.
Everyone inside was evacuated safely as thick grey smoke could be seen coming from the home.
Chief Snyder says fire crews were able to stop the progression of the fire before it compromised the residence.
Owen Sound Street, was closed for a period of time yesterday at Susan Street, causing traffic delays.
