The Town of Shelburne continues to work to reduce speeding through town.
At its next council meeting, set for Monday, January 8th, council will hear a report from the CAO on Traffic Calming Measures.
Some of those measures include reducing speed limits within the town from 50 km/h to 40 km/h on roads within the Connecting Link.
The town is also planning to ask the County of Dufferin to cut speed limits from 60 km/h to 40 km/h on County Road 11 from the intersection at Highway 89 to 2nd Line, and on County Road 124 within Shelburne to 40 km/h.
Council will also be looking at its potential involvement in the 2025 Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) program with staff report coming back to council by this August.
