Dear Listeners,
After 23 years in broadcasting, I’m making a big change, and saying goodbye to Country 105.
I’ve decided it’s time to leave radio, and embark on something new.
I’ve been offered a job as a civilian with the Ontario Provincial Police, so that means that I will get to actually sleep in sometimes!
My last day on-air is this Friday, September 22nd.
This wasn’t a decision I made easily, in fact it’s probably the hardest decision I’ve had to make so far.
My time at Country 105 has been a unique one, I feel privileged to have been a part of the original crew helping to grow this little radio station to where it is today.
Over the last 8 years, my connection with all of you has truly been one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
Each day we tried to make our show entertaining and informative for you, and many of you would tell me that you tuned in every day, and that we made YOUR day.
In turn the reality is, you made MY day, in fact all of you were the reason I got up at 3:30 am each day.
I guess there’s one thing left to say, and that is thank you for the memories, and I’ll miss you.
-Jill
