OPP are investigating a two-vehicle collision that happened on Highway 410 that claimed the life of one person.
At around 11 o’clock Thursday evening, a minivan was travelling on the southbound 410 near the 407, when the van hit an SUV that was also travelling southbound. The resulting collision caused both drivers to lose control.
The minivan then crashed through a concrete wall and rolled into the ditch near the on-ramp to the 407.
The driver of the minivan, who is a 23-year-old from Mississauga, is in hospital with serious injuries. The passenger in the minivan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The three occupants of the SUV were not injured.
The OPP’s Highway Safety Division’s investigation is ongoing, and police say no charges have been laid at this time.
