June is Pride Month, and local students are kicking things off with some celebrations.
Schools raised the Pride Flag yesterday in the Upper Grand District School Board, including at Centre Dufferin District High School in Shelburne.
The board says it’s an opportunity to intentionally continue the learning and celebration taking place in schools throughout the school year.
School GSA groups, students, and staff have been providing opportunities to learn and celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ identities and history.
In addition to individual school initiatives and resources, all schools have been provided with materials and resources, focused on identities, histories, pronouns, allyship, community events and more.
