The Feral Cat Rescue has a new home, again.
After having to relocate out of Shelburne to Melancthon, the rescue was in need of a permanent home again.
Sharon Morden, who operates the cat rescue, has purchased a property on 7th Line, near 260 Side Road in Melancthon.
Building permits have been issued and work is already starting.
The driveway is currently being put in, and the pads for the portables will be created, and septic and hydro services need to be in place before the cats can be brought there.
The Thrift Shop in Shelburne has helped to fund some of the relocation, but a Go Fund Me account will need to be set up for the septic work, which is expected to cost about $30,000.
The Feral Cat Rescue is the only one of its kind in the province, providing sanctuary and rehabilitation for feral cats.
