Caledon OPP charged two drivers after they were seen racing along Highway 10.
They say officers were doing speed enforcement on September 17th on Highway 10 near Old School Road.
At about 10:40am, officers saw two vehicles that appeared to be racing each other while going south on the highway at a speed of 187km/h.
The officer was able to stop one vehicle while the other fled before being found abandoned by police.
However, doing a quick search of the area, officers found the driver hiding in a corn field.
A 24-year-old man from Caledon was charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle – Excessive Speed.
Meanwhile, the 18-year-old from Mono was charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from Peace Officer and Race a Motor Vehicle.
Both drivers had their driver’s licence’s suspended for 30 days and vehicles impounded for 14 days.
