The Bluewater District School Board has issued some updates to parents and guardians regarding COVID-19 protocols.
There is one case of COVID-19 associated with a student at Grey Highlands Secondary School in Flesherton.
The positive case is a person who attended a Halloween Party in Dundalk on October 31st and was likely shedding virus, although authorities say those exposed are not considered to be shedding the virus themselves at this time.
Public Health is the lead for managing all the cases and is in direct contact with only those who may have been exposed through contact tracing, and the school remains open.
Meanwhile, with the increase in cases around the province, the school board send out an email to parents saying they need to prepare in case of a scenario where they would be required to switch to an online format.
The school board also has an updated daily screening protocol on their website, requiring students, staff, and essential visitors to complete a screening questionnaire daily at home before leaving for school.
That update can be found on the board’s website: https://www.bwdsb.on.ca/
