The province has approved an addition to a Shelburne elementary school.
The Ford Government is investing 500 million dollars to build 30 new schools and do upgrades to 15 different facilities.
Hyland Heights Elementary School on Fourth Avenue has been approved to get an addition, providing a new quality learning environment for students.
Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones says with Shelburne being one of the province’s fastest growing communities, creating new spaces in the schools to meet the growing need is important.
The investment will generate 92 new elementary student spaces, and nearly 900 new licensed child-care spaces.
