At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday October 31st, 1,002 head of top quality pre-sorted steers and heifers were on offer selling at higher prices with good buyer representation.
Steer calves up to 500 pounds sold from $2.79 to $3.38, while heifers sold to $3.02.
Steers weighing 500-700 pounds sold from $2.33 to $3.00 while heifers sold to $2.38.
Steers weighing 700-900 pounds sold from $2.10 to $2.33 while heifers sold to $2.20.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 109 dollar calves were on offer, selling slightly higher.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $360 per head.
There were 167 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $2.45 per pound while Nanny Goats sold up to $150 per head.
At the small animal sale, Pea Fowl sold to 17 dollars per bird while Muscovy Ducks topped at 8.
Bred Dwarf Doe Rabbits stopped at 4 dollars a piece while Poultry families sold to 25.
