At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday, October 17th, 859 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
Yearling cattle and cows sold steady, while lighter local calves sold 2-5 higher.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold from $2.00 to $2.55, while heifers sold to $2.35.
Steers weighing 600-800 pounds sold from $1.85 to $2.31 while heifers sold to $2.07.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold to $2.12 while heifers sold from $1.66 to $1.97.
Cull cows sold from 55 to 89 cents while bulls sold to $1.06.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 94 dollar calves were on offer, selling slightly higher.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $355 per head.
There were 123 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $2.60 per pound while Billy Goats sold up to $170 per head.
At the small animal sale, Call Ducks sold to 11 dollars each, while Fryer Poultry topped at 10.
Rabbits stopped at 14 dollars a piece while Muscovy Drakes sold to 8.
