At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday, October 10th, 836 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
Good quality stocker and feeder cattle sold on an active market at fully steady prices, while cull cows and bulls sold steady.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold from $2.22 to $2.87, while heifers sold to $2.15.
Steers weighing 600-800 pounds sold from $1.97 to $2.30 while heifers sold to $2.16.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold to $2.14 while heifers sold from $1.69 to $1.93.
Cull cows sold from 67 to 84 cents while bulls sold to $1.04.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 105 dollar calves were on offer, selling easier.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $275 per head.
There were 92 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 95-109 pounds sold to $2.45 per pound while Nanny Goats sold up to $170 per head.
At the small animal sale, Bantie Poultry sold to 15 dollars each while Plymouth Hens topped at 7. Red Golden Pheasants stopped at 10 dollars per bird while Geese sold to 20.
