At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday September, 26th, 595 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
All classes of cattle sold 2-3 higher while cull cows and bulls sold steady.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold from $1.70 to $2.42, while heifers sold to $2.11.
Steers weighing 600-800 pounds sold from $1.70 to $2.23 while heifers sold to $1.93.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold to $2.00 while heifers sold from $1.67 to $1.86.
Cull cows sold from 66 to 95 cents while bulls sold to $1.09.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 59 dollar calves were on offer, selling sharply higher.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $280 per head.
There were 128 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $2.47 per pound while Billy Goats sold up to $190per head.
At the small animal sale, Plymouth Rock Poultry sold to 5 dollars each, while Hen Families topped at 10.
Drakes stopped at 8 dollars per bird while Peacocks sold to 27.
