At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday August 29th, 333 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
All classes of stocker and feeder cattle sold on good demand at steady prices, while cull cows sold steady.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold from $1.67 to $2.06, while heifers sold to $1.95.
Steers weighing 600-800 pounds sold from $1.90 to $2.10 while heifers sold to $1.80.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold to $1.96 while heifers sold from $1.47 to $1.78.
Cull cows sold from 73 to 91 cents while bulls sold to $1.03.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 148 dollar calves were on offer, selling steady.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $305 per head.
There were 328 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $2.55 per pound while Billy Goats sold up to $340 per head.
At the small animal sale, Call Drakes sold to 14 dollars each, while Geese topped at 21. Peacocks stopped at 45 dollars a bird, while Black Spanish Turkeys sold to 25.
