At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday (AUG. 15TH), 380 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
A light run of stocker and feeder cattle sold on solid demand at steady to higher prices while cull cows sold steady.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold from $1.80 to $2.62, while heifers sold to $1.87.
Steers weighing 600-800 pounds sold from $1.25 to $2.17 while heifers sold to $1.82.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold to $2.08 while heifers sold from $1.33 to $1.49.
Cull cows sold from 81 to 94 cents while bulls sold to $1.20.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 114 dollar calves were on offer, selling fully steady.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $305 per head.
There were 185 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $2.97 per pound while Nanny Goats sold up to $157 per head.
At the small animal sale, Yellow Golden Pheasants sold to 11 dollars each while Rouen Ducks topped at 13. Male Peacocks stopped at 75 dollars per bird while Orpinton Pouelts sold to 5.
