At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday, August 8th, 505 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
All classes of stocker and feeder cattle sold fully steady, while cows sold 2-3 lower.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold from $2.41 to $2.67, while heifers sold to $2.13.
Steers weighing 600-800 pounds sold from $1.82 to $2.41 while heifers sold to $1.89.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold to $1.89 while heifers sold from $1.71 to $1.75.
Cull cows sold from 64 to 89 cents while bulls sold to $1.73.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 84 dollar calves were on offer, selling easier.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $305 per head.
There were 219 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $2.95 per pound while Billy Goats sold up to $207 per head.
At the small animal sale, Seabright Poultry sold to 12 dollars each, while Hen families topped at 32. Geese stopped at 23 dollars per bird while Drake Ducks sold to 11.
