At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday July 4th, 290 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
A light run of stocker and feeder cattle sold barely steady, while cull cows and bulls sold slightly higher.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds from $1.97 to $2.10 per pound while heifers sold to $2.03.
Steers weighing 6-800 pounds to $2.07 while heifers sold from 1.30 to $2.24.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold from $1.58 to $2.10.
Cull cows sold from 77 cents to $1.03 while bulls sold to $1.11.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 93 dollar calves were on offer, selling easier.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $375 per head.
There were 135 sheep and goats were on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $2.92 per pound while Billy Goats sold up to $175 per head.
At the small animal sale, Seabright Poultry sold to 10 dollars each, while Goslings topped at 12. Turkeys stopped at 26 dollars per bird while Guinea Hens sold to 25.
