At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday (June 13th), 709 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
All classes of stocker and feeder cattle sold on solid demand at steady prices, while cull cows and bulls sold fully steady.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds from $2.50 to $2.82 per pound while heifers sold to $2.26.
Steers weighing 6-800 pounds to $2.60 while heifers sold from 1.71 to $2.05.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold from $1.86 to $2.20 while same weight heifers sold to $1.75.
Cull cows sold from 90 cents to $1.14 while bulls sold to $1.17.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 87 dollar calves were on offer, selling easier.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $375 per head.
There were 155 sheep and goats were on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $3.05 per pound while Nanny Goats sold up to $150 per head.
At the small animal sale, Holland Lop Buck Rabbits sold to 12 dollars each while Muscovy Ducks topped at 24. Black Minorca Poultry stopped at 15 dollars per bird while Chinese Gander sold to 19.
