At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday (May 30th), 1131 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
Heavier cattle sold steady while light weight cattle and cull cows sold 5 higher.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds from $1.47 to $2.59 per pound while heifers sold to $2.16.
Steers weighing 6-800 pounds to $2.68 while heifers sold from 1.76 to $1.99.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold from $1.75 to $1.92 while same weight heifers sold to $1.68.
Cull cows sold from 86 to $1.09 while bulls sold to $1.19.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 85 dollar calves were on offer, selling easier.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $400 per head.
There were 275 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $3.10 per pound while Billy Goats sold up to $200 per head.
At the small animal sale, Lop cross rabbits sold to 22 dollars each, while Muscovy Drakes topped at 14. Seabright Poultry stopped at 6 dollars per bird while peacocks sold to 65.
