At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday, 1188 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
All classes of stocker and feeder cattle sold on an active market with steady to stronger prices. Cull cows and bulls sold fully steady.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold from $2.00 to $2.31 per pound, while heifers sold to $2.12.
Steers weighing 6-800 pounds to $2.43 while heifers sold from $1.64 to $1.93.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold from $1.77 to $1.99 while same weight heifers sold to $1.77.
Cull cows sold from 68 to 90 cents while bulls sold to $1.07.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 104 dollar calves were on offer, selling under pressure.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $345 per head.
There were 190 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $3.02 per pound while Market Kid Goats sold up to $122 per head.
At the small animal sale, Open Doe Rabbits sold to $10 each while Muscovy Ducklings topped at 15. Silkie Roosters stopped at 6 dollars per bird while Chantecler Poultry sold to 10.
