New Hall of Fame Inductees

The Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame will honour five new inductees this weekend.

The Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame will honour five new inductees this weekend.

One of them is Tom Sawyer -- who has been been committed to a viable and sustainable Ontario crop input and production industry.

Graeme Walker Hedley will be honoured for his work in the beef cattle industry.

Deborah Whale has been involved with ag research and poultry disease prevention and environmental sustainability

Bruce Christie of Shur-Gain will be honoured for his work with responsible animal care through best management practices.

And William Lyall Campbell will be honoured posthumously.

He was a leader and innovator in the North American sod industry for 42 years.

The board of directors for the Beef Farmers of Ontario has chosen its new leaders.

The new President is Matt Bowman -- a northern director from Thornloe.

Bowman says he's focused on addressing the gaps in programs that will support the expansion of the beef herd in the province.

The new Vice President for the Beef Farmers is Joe Hill, a feedlot director from Fergus.
