Starting in February, support price for butter goes up and it goes down for skim milk powder.
The Canadian Dairy Commission has announced an increase in the support price of butter -- and a reduction in the support price of skim milk powder.
Both will be effective February 1st.
The support price of butter will increase by 38 cents to 7 dollars and 78 cents.
The support price of skim milk powder will be reduced from six dollars and 31 cents to four dollars and 41 cents per kilo.
The commission expects the changes will increase revenue for dairy producers by more than 2 per cent.
There is a voluntary recall for Salba brand Chia Seeds, Premium Ground from Everspring Farms Limited in Seaforth.
