Huron County 4-H members perform well at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto.
We have more results from the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto -- and farmers from Huron County have done well this week.
A number of 4-H Swine members finished on stage at the Junior Barrow show.
Ben Robinson was second out of 21 entries in Junior Showmanship, with Liam Cronin of Bluevale in 4th and Kyle Cronin finished 6th.
In the Novice showmanship, Emma Robinson of Walton was second.
Emmy Cronin of Bluevale finished 4th while Amy Williamson from Blyth was 6th.
Jessalyn Hendriks from Lucknow also finished first in the Best Dressed Pig Picture.
Top Meadow Farms of Clarksburg also had a good week.
It showed the Senior Champion Limousin Bull with TMF Redwood and also captured the Peoples Choice Award.
Shaun and Jackie Grant from Markdale won the Reserve Senior Female award in the Limousin show with TMF Clover.
The U-S Department of Agriculture has released a dire forecast for Florida's orange crop.
It predicts this year's crop will be down 8 per cent from the previous year -- due to citrus greening.
The estimate for the state's orange production will be 74 million boxes.
By comparison, in the 2012-2013 year -- 133 million boxes were harvested.
