Farmers Shine at Royal Winter Fair

More winners from Bruce, Grey and Huron Counties at Royal Winter Fair.

A Grey County 4-H member showed the Reserve Champion steer in the Queens Guineas Competition at the Royal Winter Fair.
Christopher Hargrave of Proton Station was runner up to Ryan Scott of Drumbo.
In the Showmanship class,  Ashley McConnell from Kincardine was reserve champion.
Huron County 4-H members took the bronze medal in the Go For the Gold quiz competition.

The winning team was Loretta Higgins, Maisy Jefferson, Scott Jefferson and Connor Rodgers -- and they were coached by Brent Black and Cathy Drennan.

Brad Gilchrist of Gilchrist Farms in Lucknow showed the Grand Champion Bull.

Gilchrist Farms also sold the reserve Grand Champion Steer to Chris Hargrave of Maxwell.

Top Meadow Farms from Clarksburg bred and exhibited the Grand Champion Limousin Bull with TMF Zodiak.

Shaun and Jackie Grant from Markdale had the Reserve Senior Yearling Champion and Peoples Choice Champion with Top Meadow Clover in the Limousin Beef show.

JSE Farms from Kincardine was also honoured at the Royal Winter Fair.

The Canadian Angus Association recognized Steve Eby and his family as the 2014 Eastern Canada Feedlot of the Year.
