Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market
At the Keady Livestock Sale on Tuesday, 878 head of stocker cattle were on offer.
Good quality lightweight calves sold on active demand at steady prices while heavier short keep feeders sold under pressure.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 94 per pound and the same in heifers sold from a dollar 38 to a dollar 77.
Steers 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 18 to a dollar 65 and the same weight in heifers sold to a dollar 53.
Steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 31 to a dollar 41 and the heifers from a dollar 11 to a dollar 36.
Cull cows sold from 41 to 74 cents per pound and cull bulls from 76 to 87.
At the hog barn, 34 dollar calves were on offer, selling under pressure.
Holstein male sales weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold from 70 to 160 dollars per head.
Market Lambs 65 to 80 pounds sold higher, up to 2 dollars and 5 cents per pound while billy goats topped at 210 dollars per head.
At the small animal sale, Toulouse Geese sold to 10 dollars a piece while Muscovy drakes stopped at 12.
Lavender Orpington Poultry sold to 3 dollars per bird while Ready to Lay pullets topped at 8.
