Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market
At the Keady Livestock Sale on Tuesday, 703 head of stocker cattle were on offer selling on active demand at steady prices.
Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar eighty per pound and the same in heifers sold from a dollar 25 to a dollar 58.
Steers 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 31 to a dollar 59 and the same weight in heifers sold to a dollar 48.
Steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 20 to a dollar 46 and the heifers from a dollar 14 to a dollar 38.
Cull cows sold from 50 to 80 cents per pound and cull bulls from 51 to 79.
At the hog barn, 52 dollar calves were on offer, selling at barely steady prices.
Holstein male sales weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold from 75 to 130 dollars per head.
Market Lambs 50 to 64 pounds sold up to 2 dollars and 2 cents per pound while nany goats topped at 120 dollars per head.
At the small animal sale, Silver Spangled Hamburg Pigeons sold to one dollar a piece while Roller and Turbot Pigeons stopped at two.
Laying Hens sold to two dollars per bird while Ready to Lay Pullets topped at six.
