Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 450 head of stocker cattle sold at fully steady prices with cows selling one to two dollars lower.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 72 per pound and the same in heifers sold up to a dollar 43 to a dollar 51.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 39 to a dollar 56 and the same weight in heifers sold to a dollar 42.

Steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 40 to a dollar 50 and heifers from a dollar 3 to a dollar 36.

Cull cows sold from 64 to 75 cents per pound and cull bulls from 67 to 93.

At the hog barn, 61 dollar calves were on offer, selling easier.

Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold from 20 to 107 dollars and 50 cents per head.

Market lambs 50 to 64 pounds sold up to a dollar 95 per pound while boer billy goats topped at 135 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale, Muscovy Ducklings sold to 3 dollars apiece while Turkeys stopped at 12.

Barred Rock Poultry sold to 7 dollars per bird while Fancy Polish Roosters topped at 31.
