Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 628 head of stocker cattle and cows were on offer -- selling on good demand at fully steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 66 per pound and the same in heifers sold up to a dollar 40.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold to a dollar 42 and the same weight in heifers sold to a dollar 37.

Steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 31 to a dollar 45 and heifers to a dollar 39.

Cull cows sold from 64 to 89 cents per pound and cull bulls from 67 to 70.

At the hog barn, 49 dollar calves were on offer at steady prices.

Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold from 52 to 190 dollars per head.

Market lambs 50 to 64 pounds sold up to 2 dollars and 5 cents per pound while billy goats topped at 242 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale, Tom Turkeys sold to 35 dollars while Geese stopped at 10. Snowy Call Ducks sold to 7 dollars per bird while Muscovy Drakes topped at 11.
