Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday, 957 head of stocker cattle and cows were on offer.

Top quality stocker and feeder cattle sold on strong demand at steady prices with second cut calves sold under pressure.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 85 per pound and the same in heifers sold up to a dollar 75.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 36 to a dollar 78 per pound and the same weight in heifers sold from a dollar 29 to a dollar 54.

Steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 19 to a dollar 43, and heifers to a dollar 32.

Cull cows sold from 56 to 76 cents per pound.

At the hog barn, 49 dollar calves were on offer, selling higher.

Holstein male calves weighing from 100 to 150 pounds sold from 180 to 270 dollars per head.

Market lambs 50 to 64 pounds sold up to 292 dollars and 50 cents per hundred weight while boer billy kid goats topped at 180 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale, Geese sold to 15 dollars each while Bred Doe Rabbits to 14.

Pea hens sold from 40 dollars a piece while Royal Tom Turkeys stopped at 17.
