Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday, 726 head of stocker cattle and cows were on offer.

All classes of stocker and feeder cattle sold at fully steady prices with strong buyer demand.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 91 per pound and the same in heifers sold up to a dollar 71.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 40 to a dollar 75 per pound and the same weight in heifers sold from a dollar 38 to a dollar 58.

Steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 24 to a dollar 49, and heifers to a dollar 36.

Cull cows sold from 65 to 75 cents per pound.

At the hog barn, 54 dollar calves were on offer, selling slightly higher.

Holstein male calves weighing from 100 to 150 pounds sold from 200 to 250 dollars per head.

Market lambs 50 to 64 pounds sold up to 290 dollars per hundred weight while bred nanny goats topped at 190 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale, Guinea Fowl sold to 15 dollars each while Ringnecked pheasants sold to 14.

Muscovy Ducks sold from 4 to 15 dollars apiece while Rabbits topped at 8.
