At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 882 head of local vaccinated presort calves were on offer -- selling with excellent buyer demand at fully steady prices.
Steer calves up to 500 pounds sold to 2 dollars and 22 cents per pound and heifers to 2 dollars and 4 cents.
Steers from 500 to 700 pounds sold from a dollar 60 to a dollar 85 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 54.
Steers 700 to 900 pounds sold from a dollar 40 to a dollar 60 and heifers to a dollar 37.
At the hog barn, 85 dollar calves were on offer, selling at steady prices.
Holstein male calves sold from 40 to 205 dollars apiece.
Market lambs sold from 120 dollars to 186 dollars per head while nanny goats sold up to 157 dollars per head.
At the small animal sale -- Heritage Turkeys sold up to 10 dollars while Muscovy Ducks reached five.
Flemish Buck Rabbits traded up to 5 dollars each while geese topped at nine.
