Prices from Tuesday at the Keady market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 298 head of stocker and feeder cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

Good quality replacement cattle continued to sell on strong demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 49 and heifers to a dollar 37.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 29 to a dollar 48 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 27.

Yearling steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 19 to a dollar 33 and heifers to a dollar 23.

Cull cows sold at a range from 45 to 71 cents per pound and cull bulls up to 95.

At the hog barn, 52 dollar calves were on offer, selling at slightly higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 65 to 152 dollars apiece.

Market lambs 50 to 64 pounds sold to 2 dollars and 21 cents per pound while Market Kid Goats stopped at 110 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale -- Silver Pheasants sold up to 8 dollars a piece while Guinea fowl reached 10.

Laying hens traded from one to five dollars per bird while Roosters topped at 20.
