Prices from Tuesday at the Keady market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 298 head of stocker and feeder cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

Good quality heavy weight feeder cattle sold on crisp demand at higher prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 38 per pound and heifers to a dollar 33.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 30 to a dollar 46 per pound and the same range in heifers traded from a dollar 28.

Yearling steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 11 to a dollar 22.

Cull cows sold at a range from 62 to 75 cents per pound and cull bulls sold to 85 cents.

At the hog barn, 87 dollar calves were on offer, selling at sharply lower prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 25 to 90 dollars apiece.

Market lamb receipts reached the two dollars and 10 cent mark while Boer Nanny Goats sold up to 350 dollars a head.

At the small animal sale -- rabbit families sold up to 40 dollars while Toulouse Geese sold to 14 dollars apiece.

Guinea fowl sold to 17 dollars per bird while Buff bantam poultry topped at 19.
