Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 772 head of stocker and feeder cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

All classes of cattle sold on good demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 66 per pound and heifers to a dollar 51.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 27 to a dollar 48 per pound and the same range in heifers traded from a dollar 16 to a dollar 40.

Yearling steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 18 to a dollar 31 per pound and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 23.

Cull cows sold at a range from 61 to 74 cents per pound and cull bulls sold to 89 cents.

At the hog barn, 58 dollar calves were on offer, selling at higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 75 to 185 dollars apiece.

Lightweight market lambs -- 50 to 64 pounds -- sold up to 2 dollars and 44 cents per pound.

Boer billy goats sold to 290 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale -- Guinea Fowl sold up to 13 dollars per bird while Silver Grey Dorkins stopped at 7.

Muscovy Drakes sold up to 11 dollars apiece while Golden Pheasants reached 20.
