The 28th annual Midwestern Ontario Agri Fair is being hailed a success.
About 35 hundred people attended the two day event in Chesley this week.
Organizer Bill Gardhouse of the Chesley Kinsmen believes their wide variety of exhibits attracted a lot of people.
There were about 100 exhibits at this year's show.
The Chesley Kinsmen will use the proceeds from the show to support its projects in the community.
The Canadian Federation of Agriculture and its members are calling on all parties to make agriculture a platform priority during the 2011 federal election campaign.
President Ron Bonnett says Canada needs to remain competitive on the international stage while ensuring profitability at the farm gate.
He says a commitment must be made to invest in agricultural research.
