Prices from Tuesday at the Keady market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 462 head of stocker and feeder cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

All classes of replacement cattle sold on good demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 80 per pound and heifers to a dollar 57.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 21 to a dollar 57 per pound and the same range in heifers traded from a dollar 7 to a dollar 30.

Yearling steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from a dollar 10 to a dollar 26 per pound and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 15.

Cull cows sold at a range from 57 to 69 cents per pound.

At the hog barn, 58 dollar calves were on offer, selling at higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 50 to 267 dollars apiece.

Lightweight market lambs -- 50 to 64 pounds -- sold up to 2 dollars and 77 cents per pound and Pure Bred Alpine billy goats topped 135 dollars each.

At the small animal sale, Caturnic Quail Poultry sold to 3 dollars per bird, while Silver Sebright Roosters stopped at 8.

Brown Leghorn Roosters sold at the 3 dollar mark while Jersey Giant Roosters stopped at 5.
