Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 512 head of stocker and feeder cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

A good selection of replacement cattle sold on solid demand at fully steady prices while cull cows sold higher.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 63 per pound and heifers to a dollar 43.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 7 to a dollar 49 per pound and the same range in heifers traded from a dollar 17 to a dollar 34.

Yearling steers 800 to a thousand and 50 pounds sold from a dollar 17 to a dollar 30 per pound and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 18.

At the hog barn, 66 dollar calves were on offer, selling up to 15 dollars per head higher.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold up to 160 dollars apiece.

Lightweight market lambs sold up to 2 dollars and 75 cents per pound and market kid goats topped at 122 dollars each.

At the small animal sale, Button Quail sold for two dollars apiece while Pullets sold up to 4. Geese sold for 7 dollars per bird while Muscovy Drakes stopped at 12.
