Prices from Tuesday at the Keady market.

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 845 head of stocker and feeder cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

The new year started on a solid note with top quality replacements selling up to two dollars per hundred weight higher.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 65 per pound and heifers to a dollar 41.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 19 to a dollar 41 per pound and the same range in heifers traded from one dollar to a dollar 23.

Yearling steers 800 to 11 hundred pounds sold from a dollar 10 to a dollar 24 per pound and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 13.

At the hog barn, 110 dollar calves were on offer, selling at higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 71 to 160 dollars apiece.

Lightweight market lambs sold up to 2 dollars and 72 cents per pound and breeder billy goats topped at 235 dollars each.

At the small animal sale, Muscovy hens and drake ducks sold from 3 to 8 dollars per bird while rabbits stopped at 8.
