Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday --778 head of stocker and feeder cattle, cows and bulls continued to sell on strong demand with price increases up to 3 cents per pound.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 56 per pound and heifers to a dollar 48.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold from a dollar 15 to a dollar 35 per pound and the same range in heifers traded from 92 cents to a dollar 24.

Yearling steers 800 to a thousand pounds sold from one dollar to a dollar 19 per pound and the same in heifers sold from 80 cents to a dollar 6.

At the hog barn, 71 dollar calves were on offer, selling at slightly higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 75 to 135 dollars apiece.

Lightweight market lambs sold up to 2 dollars and 30 cents per pound while Boer billy goats stopped at 112 dollars.

At the small animal sale, Muscovy ducks and drakes sold from 4 to 9 dollars per bird while Turkeys reached 18.

Ready to lay pullets sold up to 6 dollars a bird while rabbits stopped at 9.
