Keady Livestock Report

Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Markets.


Length:

At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 1064 head of replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

Good quality stocker cattle sold on crisp demand at  fully steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 45per pound and heifers to a dollar 26.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 32 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 16.

Yearling steers up to 1000 pounds sold from a dollar five  to a dollar 15  per pound and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 8.

Cull cows sold from 34 to 49 cents per pound and bulls up to 59.

At the hog barn, 67 dollar calves were on offer, selling at higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 95 to 160 dollars apiece.

Market lambs from 50 to 65 pounds sold up to 1.95 per pound while billy goats sold up to 115 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale,  Silky hens sold up to five dollars per bird while geese stopped at 16.

Golden Seabrights sold up to 6 dollars apiece while guinea fowl topped at 12.
