Keady Livestock Report


Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 668 head of replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

Good quality stocker cattle sold on good demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 50 per pound and heifers to a dollar 28.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 30 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 14.

Yearling steers up to 1000 pounds sold from 96 to a dollar 17  per pound and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 4.

Cull cows sold from 42 to 53 cents per pound and bulls up to 59.

At the hog barn, 69 dollar calves were on offer, selling at steady prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 95 to 148 dollars apiece.

Market lambs from 50 to 65 pounds sold up to 200 per pound while nany goats sold up to 90 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale,  doves sold up to 13 dollars per bird while call ducks stopped at 15.

Muscovy ducks sold up to 5 dollars apiece  whuie Muscovy drakes topped at 10.
