Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 1013 head of replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

Good quality stocker cattle sold on stront demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 48 per pound and heifers to a dollar 29.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 26 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 15.

Yearling steers up to one thousand pounds sold from one dollar to a dollar 14 and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 10.

Cull cows sold from 38 to 53 cents per pound and bulls up to 66.

At the hog barn, 78 dollar calves were on offer, selling at steady prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 95 to 148 dollars apiece.

Market lambs from 50 to 65 pounds sold up to 200 per pound whilebilly gats traded up to one hundred ninety dollars per head.

At the small animal sale, Diamond doves sold up to 10 dollars per bird while call ducks stopped at 13.

Muscovy ducks sold up to 9 dollars apiece while golden pheasants topped at 11.
