Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


At the Keady Livestock sale on Tuesday -- 1062 head of replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

Good quality stocker cattle sold on brisk demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 44 per pound and heifers to a dollar 21.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 22 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 17.

Yearling steers up to 1000 pounds sold from a 97 cents to a dollar 18 and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 10.

Cull cows sold from 43 to 5 cents per pound and bulls up to 59.

At the hog barn, 70 dollar calves were on offer, selling at steady higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 90 to 162 dollars apiece.

Market lambs from 50 to 65 pounds sold up to 102.10 per pound while Billy Goats sold up to 185 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale -- Kfaliji Pheasants sold up to 17 dollars per bird while Snowy cazll ducks toped at 12.

Dwarf rabbits sold up to 3 dollars apiece while mature meat rabbits topped at 9.
