Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


Length:

At the Keady livestock sale on Tuesday -- 734 head of replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

All classes of replacement stocker cattle sold on solid demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 25 per pound and heifers to a dollar 10.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 24 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 12.

Yearling steers up to a thousand and 50 pounds sold from a dollar 2 to a dollar 12 and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 11.

Cull cows sold from 49 to 61 cents per pound and bulls up to 72.

At the hog barn, 53 dollar calves were on offer, selling at slightly higher prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 50 to 135 dollars apiece.

Market lambs from 50 to 65 pounds sold up to a dollar 97 per pound while kid goats sold to 90 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale -- budgie birds sold from 7 to 10 dollars per bird while Canaries sold up to 20.

Ringneck pheasants sold to 13 dollars per bird while Guinea fowl topped at 18.
