Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.



At the Keady livestock sale on Tuesday -- 515 head of replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

Heavyweight feeder cattle sold on strong demand at slightly higher prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold to a dollar 20 per pound and heifers to a dollar 8.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 15 per pound and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 14.

Yearling steers up to a thousand and 50 pounds sold from a dollar 7 to a dollar 11 and the same in heifers sold to a dollar 6.

Cull cows sold from 32 to 52 cents per pound and bulls up to 82.

At the hog barn, 57 dollar calves were on offer, selling at lower prices.

Holstein male calves weighing over 100 pounds sold from 45 to 118 dollars apiece.

Market lambs from 50 to 65 pounds sold up to a dollar 85 per pound while kid goats sold to 180 dollars per head.

At the small animal sale -- mature turkeys sold to 18 dollars per bird while geese traded up to 20.

Muscovy ducks and drakes sold from 4 to 10 dollars per bird while Lady Amherst pheasants topped at 15.
