Keady Livestock Report

Prices from Tuesday at the Keady Market.


Length:

At the Keady livestock sale on Tuesday -- 275 head of replacement cattle, cows and bulls were on offer.

All classes of stocker cattle sold on good demand at steady prices.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold up to a dollar 31 per pound and heffiers calves up to a dollar twenty per pound.

Steers from 600 to 800 pounds sold up to a dollar 8 per pound, and the same range in heifers traded to a dollar 7

Yearling steers up to a thousand pounds sold to a dollar 6 and two few heifers were on offer to establish a trend.

Cull cows sold from 45 to 57 cents per pound.

At the hog barn, 55 dollar calves were on offer, selling at barely steady prices.

Holsteen male calves weighing over 100 pounds were sold from 60 to 200 dollars apiece.

Lightweight lambs sold to 2 dollars and 12 cents  per pound while billy goats topped at 360 dollars.

At the small animal sale,Muscovy drakes reached the 13 dollar mark, while call ducks stopped at 20.

Diamond doves traded at 10 dollars per bird while Pheasants topped at 11.
